Within a year of the project’s implementation, it is expected to establish 50 service centers across the country, drive the adoption of drones in 500 communities, and generate an economic value of no less than 350 million baht. Mr. Chartchai Puntarawongkul, Manager of the Unmanned Aircraft Standards Division at CAAT, discussed urgent regulatory approaches for future drone usage, including certifications for various types of drone flights such as Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), medium-sized drones, aircraft registration, certification of various drone pilot training centers, and issuance of pilot licenses for each category (basic and advanced).
‘DronTech Asia 2024’ is an exhibition showcasing drones and technologies demonstrating their applications in various sectors like agriculture, energy, construction, fuel and gas, and security industries.
